Enrollment is as simple as taking a selfie and only takes seconds.
Or, we can import photos & student IDs from your preexisting database.
No other data is collected or stored - just a template & a student ID number.
How it Works: At The Cafeteria
In the lunchroom, children are recognized by Munchtime. The live scan is converted to a template & matched to the stored template from enrollment.
The live scan is never stored.
The ID number associated with the template is recalled & the child is on their way. The whole process takes less than a second, & eliminates all physical contact.
How we Protect Privacy
We take privacy very seriously.
The enrollment photo is converted into a series of numbers called a template (kind of like a bar code of your face); it can never be converted back into a photograph.
Both the enrollment photo & facial scans are never stored.
We collect & store the minimum amount of data for the task, usually a template and a student ID number. Sometimes it’s just the template.
We don’t connect to national databases or share data. The student's template is used for one purpose (access to the cafeteria) and never leaves the school. We follow the best encryption practices to protect your data.
